2. Predictions
-
One entry per round per competition (ex – English Premier League)

-
Winners are decided by leaderboard positions, which are based on how your predictions perform compared with other users’ predictions.
-
Once submitted, entries can’t be changed.
-
Deadlines: usually 30–90 mins before first kick-off.
3a. Leaderboard Types
-
General leaderboards (By Period): Round, Monthly, Season.
-
General leaderboards (By Player Format): Solo, Team.
3b. Leaderboard Points
Based on how users’ predictions compare with corresponding actual results, users are allocated leaderboard points per round (Round Points) from 5 points streams – Performance Points 1 (PP1), Performance Points 2 (PP2), Fair Play Points (FPP), Score Difference (SD) and Total Points (TP).
During the season, your Round Points are added up after every round to give you your Monthly and Season Leaderboard Points.
Points Stream
Points Per Round
PP1 (scores predictions)
10 points awarded per game in a round where user correctly predicts the scores.
PP2 (time predictions)
7 points are awarded to users whose time predictions are same as actual time of quickest goal from the round.
5 points are awarded to users with a ±1 minute difference between their predicted time and the actual time of quickest goal from the round.
4 points are awarded to users with ±2 minutes difference between their predicted time and the actual time of quickest goal from the round.
3 points are awarded to users with ±3 minutes difference between their predicted time and the actual time of quickest goal from the round.
2 points are awarded to users with ±4 minutes difference between their predicted time and the actual time of quickest goal from the round.
1 point is awarded to users with ±5 minutes difference between their predicted time and the actual time of quickest goal from the round.
0 point is awarded to users with more than 5 minutes difference between their predicted time and the actual time of quickest goal from the round.
FPP
+2 points are awarded to existing players for participating / making a prediction in a round.
-2 points are awarded (that is 2 points deducted) to existing players for not participating / making a prediction in a round.
SD
Difference between ‘scores difference from predicted scores’ and ‘scores difference from real scores’.
SD = PSD – RSD (note: a negative result is multiplied by ‘-1’ to convert to a positive result of same value)
PSD = predicted home team score – predicted away team score
RSD = real home team score – real away team score
The SD for each game in a round are added together to get the SD for that round or matchday.
TP
PP1 + PP2 + FPP
Performance Points 1 (PP1) are points awarded based on how a user accurately predicts the scores of games from a round.
Score Difference (SD) is the aggregate difference between predicted scores and real scores from a round.
Performance Points 2 (PP2) are points awarded based on how a user accurately predicts the time of quickest goal from a round.
Fair Play Points (FPP) are points awarded for participating in a round or deducted for not participating in a round.
Total Point (TP) is the sum of PP1, PP2 and FPP.
All predicted scores are always matched with the equivalent official scores from the race/league/tournament’s governing body including VAR effects during normal game time.
Should there be a major disruption during a season or for a particular matchday, for example, there is a major terrorist attack or severe poor weather conditions that results to game fixtures being suspended prior to or during the play cycle, Sladders reserves the right to amend the fixture list to reflect the changes or void some or all games played when fixture amendment is not practical, for example when some users have already made their prediction entries prior to fixture changes.
3c. Leaderboard Tie Breakers
Round Leaderboard
User with the higher Total Points (TP) will be placed higher.
1st Tiebreaker: If two or more users have the same Total Points (TP), then user with the higher Performance Points 1 (PP1) will be placed higher.
2nd Tiebreaker: If two or more users have the same Total Points (TP) and Performance Points 1 (PP1), then user with the lower Score Difference (SD) will be placed higher.
3rd Tiebreaker: If two or more users have the same Total Points (TP), Performance Points 1 (PP1) and Score Difference (SD), then user with the earlier time of prediction entry will be placed higher.
If two or more players cannot be separated following the above tiebreakers, then the tied players will remain level on the leaderboard and will share any available prize if their position is a prize-winning position.
Monthly & Season Leaderboards
User with the higher Total Points (TP) will be placed higher.
1st Tiebreaker: If two or more users have the same Total Points (TP), then user with the higher Performance Points 1 (PP1) will be placed higher.

3rd Tiebreaker: If two or more users have the same Total Points (TP), Performance Points 1 (PP1) and Score Difference (SD), then user with the higher Performance Point 2 (PP2) will be placed higher.
