OFFICIAL PLAY RULES
General
-
Users can make free prediction entries or paid prediction entries.
-
There is one membership level for free prediction users – ‘Social’.
-
Free prediction entries mean playing just for fun and for free. This means no cash prizes are won by social members even if they occupy prize-winning positions on the leaderboard. When a social member occupies a prize-winning position, that prize will go to the appropriate paid prediction user below.
-
All users start as social members with option to upgrade to paid membership levels (restrictions apply).
-
Paid Prediction entries are only available to verified (identity, age, and address) users.
-
Paid predictions are via annual subscriptions. There are 6 paid subscription / member levels – ‘Rookie’, ‘Semi-pro’, ‘Pro’, ‘All-stars’, ‘Master’, and ‘Legendary’.
-
The higher the paid membership level, the higher the number of prize-winning positions available on the leaderboard and the bigger the prize money per prize-winning position.
-
Predictions do not need to be 100% correct to win. Winners are determined by leaderboard positions, which are in turn determined by how a user’s prediction performance compares with other users’ prediction performances.
-
There are 3 leaderboards by period – Round (per matchday), Monthly (per calendar month), and Season (per league or tournament season). There are prizes available for all 3 leaderboard types by period.
-
All winnings are transferred to the winners’ account balance (wallet) on Sladders from where it can be withdrawn by the user.

Limits
Predictions are limited to 1 entry per round or gameweek for a particular league or competition.
If there are multiple sports competitions or leagues with active rounds in a given gameweek, you can make a maximum of 1 prediction entry for each active sports competition or league round. For example, on matchday 1, you can make a maximum of 1 entry for the English Premier League and a maximum of 1 entry for the Spanish La Liga.
Submitted predictions cannot be recalled or amended.
Deadlines
All prediction entries must be submitted by the round/gameweek deadline to be valid and be included in the draw (leaderboard points award) for that particular round / gameweek.
Deadlines are specified below and are subject to change. The actual deadline is represented in the app by an entry closure countdown under play ‘status’.
Sports Competition
Deadline
English Premier League
30 - 90 minutes before the kick-off time of matchday’s first game
Spanish La Liga
30 - 90 minutes before the kick-off time of matchday’s first game
Leaderboard Points
Based on how users’ predictions compare with corresponding actual results, users are allocated leaderboard points per round (Round Points) from 5 points streams – Performance Points 1 (PP1), Performance Points 2 (PP2), Fair Play Points (FPP), Score Difference (SD) and Total Points (TP).
During the season, your Round Points are added up after every round to give you your Monthly and Season Leaderboard Points.
Points Stream
Points Per Round
PP1 (scores predictions)
10 points awarded per game in a round where user correctly predicts the scores.
PP2 (time predictions)
7 points are awarded to users whose time predictions are same as actual time of quickest goal from the round.
5 points are awarded to users with a ±1 minute difference between their predicted time and the actual time of quickest goal from the round.
4 points are awarded to users with ±2 minutes difference between their predicted time and the actual time of quickest goal from the round.
3 points are awarded to users with ±3 minutes difference between their predicted time and the actual time of quickest goal from the round.
2 points are awarded to users with ±4 minutes difference between their predicted time and the actual time of quickest goal from the round.
1 point is awarded to users with ±5 minutes difference between their predicted time and the actual time of quickest goal from the round.
0 point is awarded to users with more than 5 minutes difference between their predicted time and the actual time of quickest goal from the round.
FPP
+2 points are awarded to existing players for participating / making a prediction in a round.
-2 points are awarded (that is 2 points deducted) to existing players for not participating / making a prediction in a round.
SD
Difference between ‘scores difference from predicted scores’ and ‘scores difference from real scores’.
SD = PSD – RSD (note: a negative result is multiplied by ‘-1’ to convert to a positive result of same value)
PSD = predicted home team score – predicted away team score
RSD = real home team score – real away team score
The SD for each game in a round are added together to get the SD for that round or matchday.
TP
PP1 + PP2 + FPP
Performance Points 1 (PP1) are points awarded based on how a user accurately predicts the scores of games from a round.
Score Difference (SD) is the aggregate difference between predicted scores and real scores from a round.
Performance Points 2 (PP2) are points awarded based on how a user accurately predicts the time of quickest goal from a round.
Fair Play Points (FPP) are points awarded for participating in a round or deducted for not participating in a round.
Total Point (TP) is the sum of PP1, PP2 and FPP.
All predicted scores are always matched with the equivalent official scores from the race/league/tournament’s governing body including VAR effects during normal game time.
Should there be a major disruption during a season or for a particular matchday, for example, there is a major terrorist attack or severe poor weather conditions that results to game fixtures being suspended prior to or during the play cycle, Sladders reserves the right to amend the fixture list to reflect the changes or void some or all games played when fixture amendment is not practical, for example when some users have already made their prediction entries prior to fixture changes.
Leaderboard Position & Tie Breakers
Round Leaderboard
User with the higher Total Points (TP) will be placed higher.
1st Tiebreaker: If two or more users have the same Total Points (TP), then user with the higher Performance Points 1 (PP1) will be placed higher.
2nd Tiebreaker: If two or more users have the same Total Points (TP) and Performance Points 1 (PP1), then user with the lower Score Difference (SD) will be placed higher.
3rd Tiebreaker: If two or more users have the same Total Points (TP), Performance Points 1 (PP1) and Score Difference (SD), then user with the earlier time of prediction entry will be placed higher.
If two or more players cannot be separated following the above tiebreakers, then the tied players will remain level on the leaderboard and will share any available prize if their position is a prize-winning position.

Cancellations
Sladders reserve the right to cancel or void one or more games from a round or an entire round or matchweek. This can be done before, during or after the games of that round. These would be due to events outside our control.
Some of the reasons a round may be voided include:
-
The round or some games in the round getting cancelled by the sport’s governing body.
-
A round or game(s) from a round being abandoned in the middle of the game(s) for any reason.
-
Technical issues that compromise the integrity of our system.
In the event that part of the games from a round are voided, no points would be awarded for the voided game(s).
In the event an entire round or gameweek is voided or cancelled, no points would be awarded for that round and the Round Prizes for the affected matchday are returned to the pool.
