Terms of Service

Welcome to Sladders! These Terms of Service (“Terms”) explain how you can use our platform and services. Please read them carefully before signing up or playing.

By using Sladders.com, our apps, or any of our services (together called “the Platform”), you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Platform.

 

1. Who we are

Sladders Ltd (“Sladders”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is a UK company registered in England & Wales (No. 13483388).

We provide:

  1. A social sports platform for sharing content and connecting with fans (for ages 13+).

  2. Sladders Play – a subscription-based sports prediction game with leaderboards and cash prizes (for 18+).

  3. Special leaderboards (for example Team Leaderboard, Referrers Leaderboard, or other promotions) that may allow users to win prizes without a paid pass.

 

2. Who can use Sladders

  • You must be 13 or older to use the social platform.

  • You must be 18 or older to subscribe to a paid Play Pass or win cash prizes in standard leaderboards.

  • If you’re under 18, you can only use the free Social Pass with your parent or guardian’s consent.

  • By signing up, you confirm the information you give us is true and accurate. We may run checks to confirm eligibility.

2A. Child Safety

  • Sladders’ social features are available from age 13+.

  • Paid Play Pass subscriptions and all cash prize features are restricted to 18+ only.

  • Users aged 13–17 may only use the free Social Pass and must have parental or guardian consent.

  • We use age-gating at sign-up to help enforce these rules.

  • We provide moderation and reporting tools to keep users safe. Harmful or abusive behaviour may result in suspension or termination of accounts.

 

3. Your Play Pass options

Sladders Play has different passes:

  • Social Pass (Free) – play for fun, no cash prizes on general solo leaderboards.

  • Rookie Pass (£10/year)

  • Semi-Pro Pass (£20/year)

  • Pro Pass (£30/year)

  • All-Star Pass (£50/year)

  • Master Pass (£75/year)

  • Legendary Pass (£100/year)

Renewals: Passes automatically renew every 12 months.
Cooling-off: You have 14 days from purchase to cancel and get a refund if you haven’t used the pass.
Cancel anytime: You can stop auto-renew in your account settings.

 

4. How prizes work

  • General leaderboard prizes are based on Play Pass level and are funded by the subscription prize pool.

  • Prize calculation, tie-breakers, payout rules, and prize pool details are explained in the Prize & Game Rules.

  • Winners must complete KYC (identity verification) before payout on general leaderboards.

  • All prizes are paid in GBP (£), into your Sladders wallet, then withdrawn by the same method used for subscription.

Special Leaderboards

  • From time to time, we may run special leaderboards (for example Team Leaderboard, Referrers Leaderboard, or other promotional competitions).

  • No paid pass is required to enter these leaderboards.

  • Winners of special leaderboards may be paid without KYC verification, unless we reasonably require verification for fraud prevention, underage play, or security purposes.

  • Prize details will be shown in the app or promotion rules at the time of launch.

 

5. Play safe – responsible gambling

Sladders is licensed and committed to safer play. Tools available on your account include:

  • Deposit limits

  • Reality check timers

  • Timeouts

  • Self-exclusion (Gamstop integrated)

6. Complaints & disputes

  1. If you have a complaint, contact us at support@sladders.com.

  2. We’ll try to resolve it quickly.

  3. If you’re unhappy with our final response, you can escalate to our appointed ADR provider: ProMediate.

 

7. Using the platform

You agree not to:

  • Break the law or encourage others to.

  • Post abusive, discriminatory, or harmful content.

  • Cheat, collude, or manipulate leaderboards.

  • Share your account or log in with someone else’s.

  • Use bots, scraping tools, or anything that disrupts normal play.

We may suspend or close accounts that break the rules.

 

8. Your content

If you post or upload content (text, photos, audios, videos, etc.) to Sladders:

  • You keep ownership, but you give us permission to use, display, store, translate, adapt, and share it on Sladders and any successor or marketing platform.

  • You must have the rights to the content you post.

  • Don’t post anything illegal, harmful, libelous, offensive, confidential, or misleading.

 

9. Data & privacy

We handle your personal data under UK data protection law. For details, see our Privacy Policy.

 

10. Marketing

We follow the Gambling Commission’s rules on marketing. That means:

  • Ads must be fair, clear, and not targeted at children.

  • If we work with affiliates in future, they must also follow these rules.

 

11. Third-party Links

  • Sladders may include links to other websites, apps, or services.

  • These links are provided by third parties for your convenience only. We don’t control them, and we don’t endorse them.

  • We’re not responsible for their content or for any loss or damage that comes from using them.

 

12. Liability

We provide Sladders “as is”. We don’t guarantee uninterrupted service or error-free content.

We’re not responsible for:

  • Losses caused by things outside our control.

  • Indirect or business losses (like lost profits).

Our maximum liability to you is the greater of:

  • The total you’ve paid us in the last 12 months, or

  • £500.

This doesn’t limit liability for fraud, death, personal injury, or anything else the law says we can’t exclude.

 

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If the changes are significant, we’ll notify you in advance. If you don’t agree, you must stop using Sladders.

 

14. Conflict resolution

If there is any conflict between these Terms and the Prize & Game Rules, the Prize & Game Rules will apply to prize allocation, leaderboard scoring, and gameplay matters (including special leaderboards). These Terms apply to all other issues.

 

15. Trademarks

  • All Sladders logos and trademarks belong to us.

  • You can’t use them without permission.

  • Any third-party trademarks we show remain the property of their owners.

 

16. Assignment

  • We may transfer our rights and obligations under these Terms.

  • You can’t transfer your account or rights without our written consent.

 

17. Severability

If any part of these Terms is found unlawful or unenforceable, the rest will still apply.

 

18. Third-party Rights

These Terms are just between you and Sladders. No one else has any rights under them.

 

19. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Prize & Game Rules and Privacy Policy, make up the whole agreement between you and Sladders.

 

20. Statutory & Regulatory Disclosures

  • These Terms are only available in English.

  • We don’t file individual copies for each user — we recommend you save a copy for your records.

 

21. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be handled by the courts of England (non-exclusive jurisdiction).
